Board of Directors

Richard Johnson, President, worked on the Prison-Ashram Project with Ram Dass. He has served on the boards of the Hanuman Foundation, Bread for the Journey, Concerned Citizens for Nuclear Safety and Nuclear Watch. He owns a local business, "Ad-ventures."
Doug Booth, Secretary/Treasurer and co-director, has taught meditation in New Mexico prisons for the past 5 years. He is a graduate of the Spirit Rock Community Dharma Leader teacher-training program. He is the former director of the Upaya Prison Project. He served as lead lobbyist for the New Mexico A.C.L.U. and practices law in Santa Fe.
Mikaela Barnes, M.A., is the past president of the Santa Fe Vipassana Sangha, a buddhist meditation group. She is a psychotherapist and musician in Santa Fe.
Eric Kolvig, Ph.D., has taught meditation nationally for the past 14 years. He has served on the board of Stop-It Now, an organization dedicated to preventing child abuse.
